Your boat for your trip is a fantastically safe and stable fishing platform as used by many rescue authorities. It is a 10 meter (33 foot) Cougar Catamaran named "Reef Cat 2" and is licensed to carry 12 guests. Built to government survey regulations, survey safety equipped, and fitted with the latest fishing electronics, it is a fast (33 KNOTS), stable, twin hulled, wide bodied, twin engine boat with ample seating under a large roof area.

The Reef Cat 2 is powered by two quiet, smokeless Yamaha four stroke motors.

Of particular note for the ladies, there is an enclosed, modern, electric flushing, highly sanitized, private toilet in the forward cabin. It is complemented with an electric, fresh running water tap with basin, liquid soap, mirror and disinfectant deodorizers.

Your deep sea skipper and fishing guide, Cap´n Bob Krojs (Aussie born and bred since 1958) has skippered and fished an average of 300 Gold Coast deep-sea reef fishing trips per year since the opening of our safe Gold Coast Seaway in 1987. This wealth of experience will show when you join us for your fishing adventure. Bob and his wife Maryanne are the owner/operators of BK´s Fishing Charters Gold Coast Australia and with their daughter Rebecca as your deckhand the inherent professionalism and added service from being a "family business" cannot be surpassed. Our 5 Hour Deep-sea Reef & Game Fishing Charters are $80 per adult and $50 per child and sightseer.

Inclusions are - quality left or right handed rods and reels, tackle, bait, sunscreen, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee, biscuits, transits from and back to your C.B.D. Gold Coast coastal resort, printed fish recipes and assistance from your skipper and deckhand if required. Your legal captures can be kept shared or released by you. Your fish are cleaned, iced down, and bagged for you.

Autumn, Winter and Spring has comfortable mild weather, approximately 22°C day temperature. Summer, has typical tropical weather, often with cooling afternoon sea breezes giving approximately 30°C day temperature.

We do fish all year round on rocky reefs ranging from 20 to 60 meters in depth up to 1 to 10 kilometers from Surfers Paradise for Snapper, Cobia, Sharks, Mackerel, Tuna, Sailfish, Marlin, and many other rocky reef fish.



Our fishing techniques include - bottom fishing and multi level float baiting using whole I.Q.F (individually quick frozen) pilchards on a gang of four 3/0 hooks plus multi level live baiting - whichever is the most productive on the day and either is your choice. If unfamiliar with those terms don´t let that "fish speak" worry you, we gladly assist as required. Quality left and right handed Penn and Shakespeare rods and reels are supplied.
